2021: New Year, New Little Faces

Happy 2021 friends! We took a break from our blog for a bit because, well… life happened. We will make it an effort to make sure we are consistent with our blogs this year. It is a resolution for our business that we intend to keep because it is a way for us to share our sessions with you and it is an opportunity for you to get to know us better as photographers and more importantly, people. Carly and I have a lot planned for 2021 and we look forward to sharing everything with you!

Today, we had one of our first shoots of the new year. In Maryland, January, February and March are pretty chilly and photography tends to slow down a bit until the warmer months return. Maternity and newborn sessions have been the most popular so far in 2021. They are some of our favorite photoshoots because Carly and I LOVE babies.

Little Benjamin is who we were so fortunate enough to meet today. Carly and I met Benjamin’s older brother Charlie, and his mom and dad at our holiday mini sessions this past November. We really enjoy working with returning clients. We have said it before but, our favorite thing about being photographers are the relationships that we make with the people we work with. A fifteen minute mini session is not the ideal amount of time to build a friendship but today we had the opportunity to get to know one another on a more personal level. By the end of our 90 minute session, we did not just feel like photographers doing a job, we felt like welcomed guests who were capturing such a beautiful memory.

Thank you to this wonderful family for accepting us into your home and allowing us to capture such special moments of you today. Charlie and Benjamin are going to be the best of friends.
